Friday 25th of October - here is what is happening

Now it is very important that we keep the pressure up, if we are to save Blaina Fire Station.

The people of Blaina and Nantyglo who have not yet filled in the Fire Service Survey, the volume and contents of which will make a pivotal point, when the Fire Authority come to make their decision as to whether to close our station and increase the risk to our property and lives or reject it, having looked at more accurate information provided from different sources.

Now if you have not already done so or have new points you would like to make and submit another online form, then follow this link and do it online.  If your neighbours are elderly and without internet access, then invite them around for a cup of tea and help them fill it in on your machines.  Don't even think about it, just do it.

If you prefer to fill in a hard copy form because you need assistance, then please go to Asdas in Brynmawr, where you will be able to get guidance from Blaina Fire Crew, who will be outside the store between 3pm and 7pm, Friday 25 October.

Even if you have filled in the survey and are just out shopping, please take time to say hello to our boys, who risk their all for you and yours.  They will appreciate it, because I know your support means everything to them.

Now 3pm to 7pm is great for me, because at 2pm I will be speaking live on BRFM Radio and going through the Fire Service proposal point by point and can assure you, my talk will be both entertaining and informative.

When the show finishes, I can then pop over to Asdas, get some images of our heroes talking to the public for tomorrow evenings full report on both events which will be posted sometime after 7pm.

Now Huw, it is a pity you would not meet with me as a concerned resident of Blaina, it would have saved me having to send you messages this way.

Then again, I suppose my messages must be far more interesting than what the CoE of Monmouthshire Council is eating in McDonalds and boy did I laugh when I saw the letter your secretary sent to a concerned resident saying that you were a very busy person.

Just as I know you are watching me, I am watching you and your friends Huw, but do not worry, I will not be talking about them on tomorrow's radio show.  Tomorrow is just about Blaina Fire Station, we can have a go over the main issue later down the road.

So Huw, please stop this madness.  You know that your proposal is flawed and riddled with inaccuracies and if there is any justice in the world, it will be thrown out by the Fire Authority as soon as they read it.

Nobody wants to see the reputation and integrity of the Fire Service tarnished and Blaina just wants to start to heal the wounds your insensitive proposal reopened.  Withdraw it now please.
